Singing bowls have been used for centuries for different purposes. With a humble beginning as a food bowl, this unique Buddhist instrument has found its way into Buddhist way of living as one of the important Buddhist arts alongside Buddha statues and other art forms. The sound of the chakra singing bowl is also believed to have an ability to activate the Third eye; at first by hitting a bowl and then gently touching the vibrating rim of the bowl at the Ajna Chakra, the chakra located between the eye brows. - First chakra – It is associated with a powerful force called Kundalini force that is the most potent of the nature, also associated as fire energy. - Sixth Chakra – Also known as the third eye chakra, it is the all seeing chakra located between and slightly above the eyes. - Seventh Chakra – Known as crown chakra, the seventh chakra is located on the top of the head and is the highest spiritual chakra. It corresponds to spirituality, enlightenment and intuition.
